A 200 level laboratory practical course in biochemistry, adapted from the D2D curriculum from UC Davis. The course takes undergraduates step-by-step through designing and assessing a mutant enzyme in silico, to cloning and transforming it into a E. coli, then over-expressing and purifying their mutant enzyme and testing its kinetics and thermal stability.
